The lab
Grove Lab turns published research into pieces you can explore. Every number on the site comes from a source you can check.

Haplofield brings together ancient people, linked by the DNA they share. Explore 17,540 lives unearthed by archaeology, reaching back 185,000 years. Patterns appear as you go: cultures meeting, distant ties, and the stories behind them.
Pulse Atlas scores well-being across the EU’s regions, using Eurostat data. Each score comes with the raw figure and the year behind it, and gaps in the data are left as gaps.
The catalog holds the rest. One piece replays a worm embryo dividing, cell by cell. Another grows a sunflower head seed by seed and checks it against 400 real ones.
Every piece says where its data comes from. Some have a method page that goes through each step, and the others link the paper they’re built on. It all runs in your browser.
